Lizenzprobleme in Massenuploads

Mit etwa einem Viertel der Dateien ohne gültige Lizenz (und auch fehlender Freigabe) bringt das so nichts. Hast du eine Lösung, um den Anteil zu reduzieren und die bisher hochgeladenen Dateien auszusortieren? --Didym (talk) 22:26, 20 December 2024 (UTC)

Ich habe die Filter geändert, so dass nur Personen mit Sterbedatum vor 1930 berücksichtigt werden; das sollte die nötigen Lizenzbausteine sicherstellen. --Magnus Manske (talk) 11:45, 23 December 2024 (UTC)

Nein, du hast viele Bilder mit Bilderrahmen hochgeladen, die sind schlichtweg Urheberrechtsverletzungen, egal wie als das Bild ist. Man kann die Gemälde rausschneiden um das zu heilen, aber dafür muss man halt Arbeit investieren vor dem Hochladen. Dito die nichtssagenden Filenamen, dito die (sorry) völlig bescheuerte Füllung der "Titel"-Felder. Von der fehlende Kategorisierung jeder Art ganz zu schweigen. Ich lade gerade wie oft hunderte, tausende Bilder aus Auktionshäusern hoch, und das ist eben richtig viel Arbeit, wochenlange Arbeit. Und überall begegnen mir Deine völlig indadäquaten Uploads von letzter Woche... Letzte Beispiele Category:Wilhelm Schodde. Und auch die Texte, die du einfach übernommen hast, sind nicht nur rein informativ (und selbst da wäre an den Datenbankschutz zu denken, das mache ich aber auch nicht, sondern "klaue" die Informationen der Auktiosnshäuser und verbessere sie, wo wie oft nötig), sondern oft durchaus mit Schöpfungshöhe beschreibend und besonders bewertend. Beispiel: File:Albert Tibulle Furcy de Lavault - (1) (10).jpg Da steht im Feld Beschreibung ein halber Aufsatz. So geht das nicht! --Anvilaquarius (talk) 19:00, 26 December 2024 (UTC)

Eine Lösung für die bisher hochgeladenen Urheberrechtsverletzungen fehlt weiterhin, dafür kommen weiterhin neue Dateien. Sollte das so weitergehen, bleibt nur noch eine Sperre übrig. --Didym (talk) 14:06, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

Also wenn jemand moderne Desingerstücke mit einem Künstler aus dem 17. Jahrhundert in Verbindung bringt und sowas dann auch noch hochlädt, halte ich dies schon für äusserst problematisch. Listeria bot run amok, causing unbounded page growth

https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Paintings_of_penitent_Magdalene&action=history has been growing by 150k every three days since 27 October. It now has multiple copies of the table (13!).

Similarly https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Paintings_of_the_Ecce_Homo&action=history has been growing since 25 October.

I also reported this at https://github.com/magnusmanske/listeria_rs/issues/161 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Magnus_Manske#Listeria_bot_run_amok and User talk:ListeriaBot#Bot run amok, causing pages to grow without bound. The growth of these two pages in particular is causing timeouts in some of Parsoid's test infrastructure. Cscott (talk) 22:42, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your submission of File:Firstpitchatdehler.gif. While all submissions are useful, do you think you might be able to supply a better quality version of the same, or similar, content? In many cases, the largest and highest resolution possible is the most useful version to have available. (MediaWiki has automatic resizing functionality, so there is no need for multiple versions of the same image at different sizes, users can select any size and the software will generate and cache the needed resolution on the fly.)

If you can supply the same exact image as File:Firstpitchatdehler.gif at a larger resolution (or media at a higher bitrate, etc.), please just upload it over the original, users will get the new higher quality version with no further effort on your part. If on the other hand, the content is only similar, it is best to select a new image name, as there may be uses already where some aspect of the existing media was key to the usage. In the latter case, if you can provide a crosslink reference to the new image in the older one and vice versa, that will be extremely helpful.
