As a rough guideline, administrators usually require editors to have made more than 500 useful non-botlike edits, and to have been active in the last thirty days. Patrollers and License reviewers don't have to request this flag.
Good afternoon. I'm an experienced vector artist and this is my second time applying for autopatrolled [1] (my username has been changed since). As you can see in the denied request, I was too new to the platform to be granted such a role. It's been exactly two years since that first attempt and I'd like to request it again for the same reason: updating old or bad SVGs that need cleanup or have historical inaccuracies. In addition, my work has been modified and uploaded by other users in ways such as cropping (File:Flag of the Justicialist Party (square version).svg) or alternate versions (File:Flag of Fuefuki, Yamanashi (no text).svg). Without autopatrolled I can't update or fix those alternate versions by myself, which is a major inconvenience as I would be able to update the original file but not the alternate one. Thank you. I'll have to check if that Justicialist Party flag is the same or similar to ones that have been deleted. Your edit count is still rather low, but I can keep this open for a while to let that increase organically. Abzeronow (talk) 00:11, 30 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'd like to register for rights as I tend to want to make minor crops (usually image artifacts) to portraits. A little excessive to make new versions for those. Thank you. Juxlos (talk) 04:43, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I mostly do categorization and fixing of SVG errors. For the latter, I'm asking for autopatrol to avoid having to request overwrite access on each file individually. I do occasionally upload photos, but I'm well aware of copyright restrictions and as a general rule don't upload photos I didn't take myself. (I believe File:Cuboid collage.png is the only exception, where the component images were already uploaded under CC0.) Thank you. Eiim (talk) 23:34, 6 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I have been contributing to Wikimedia Commons for more than a decade now. I have made more than 16000 edits on Commons. I have contributed in two Wiki Exploration Projects. Some of my files doesn't have GeoTags. I want AWB Rights to do mass edit my files to add GeoTags and/or rename files. I have rename rights. Thank you. As a rough guideline, administrators usually require editors to have made at least 1,000 useful, non-botlike edits or a large number of justified renaming requests at Commons before they will consider granting the filemover right.
I would like to become a filemover. I've been active in adding various categories to to files in batch and I also sometimes want to add any relevant information to filenames, mainly to prefixes, so it's easier to understand what is pictured - sometimes the filename is just "- panoramio (3254543534).jpg". Hoping this would also improve search results on search engines when looking for something - like a rare place in the world, etc. Thank you. YeraC (talk) 15:03, 8 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I am requesting the filemover right for my bot account, Sakib Bot. My main account MS Sakib already holds filemover rights and is an experienced contributor with over 24,000 uploads. My bot account also has over 50,000 uploads. I actively upload SVG glyphs of open-source fonts (OFL, GPL) using both accounts. Due to the high volume of uploads, I frequently encounter situations where bulk renaming is necessary to correct naming conventions or fix errors. Specific Case: Recently, I uploaded 1,000+ files to Category:Linux Libertine Mono SVG Glyphs. I inadvertently included "Monospaced" in the filenames instead of the standard "Mono".
Current Name: Latin Capital Letter Z in Linux Libertine Monospaced - U+005A.svg
Target Name: Latin Capital Letter Z in Linux Libertine Mono - U+005A.svg
Performing over 1,000 renames via my main account is inefficient and hits API rate limits quickly. I intend to use Sakib Bot to handle this bulk renaming task and similar maintenance tasks for my own uploads in the future. Using the bot account will allow for smoother processing.
@Tausheef Hassan "Mono" implies "Monospaced". However, standard font names usually just state "Mono"; though I missed this detail before uploading. For example, see this: Libertinus Mono. Filenames should be concise and understandable, rather than overly descriptive. ≈ MS Sakib 📩·📝08:06, 21 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Just dealt with a mass-spamming vandal here on Commons and realized I don't have rollback. Would like rollback to help with reverting blatant vandalism in the future. I have experience with vandal patrol on ENWP, where I've had rollback since 2009 as en:User:SuperHamster. Thanks! ~Kevin Payravi (talk) 02:46, 7 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to help out with protected template pages. I've designed or modified many templates before. I understand how to always test templates using sandboxes before deploying them to the real templates. I'd like to have this role only temporarily, to expire by 28 Feb, if that's ok. Thank you. Hi, I'm LightandDark2000 (or BlueHypercane761 on Commons). While I primarily operate a different account on Commons (dating back to before unified global login was a thing), this is my primary global account, and I do most of my anti-vandalism work from this account as well. I already have the temporary account IP viewer permission on en.wiki and Wikidata, and I also have substantial experience dealing with vandalism both here and on en.wiki, so I know how to responsibly use the right. I've had the permission on en.wiki for about a month now, and both of my accounts have Patroller on Commons as well. I'd like to have this permission on Commons to deal more effectively with cross-wiki vandals and LTAs, particularly those with a history of IP socking. Thanks. My accounts are already linked (on my user page, for my Commons account). I don't use a user page for my global account on Commons, since most of my non-Antivandal activity is done through my Commons account. LightandDark2000 (talk) 11:26, 21 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For a rough advice, do not seek this flag if you have not made about 500 useful edits on Wikimedia Commons unless you associate with any Wikimedia affiliate, or campaigns such as Wiki Loves Earth.
I am currently part of the Wikimedia Peru team, the organizing team for Wiki Love Folklore 2026 in Peru; obtaining this right will allow me to improve the organization of this important event. Thank you. Futuropopular (talk) 23:19, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
